Evan Pyne
VIOLIN, VIOLA

Evan Pyne is a violinist receiving his professional training at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto. Formerly, Evan attended the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists, the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Keshet Eilon Music Center, and the Heifetz International Music Institute.
He has studied with various luminaries of the violin including Ilya Kaler, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Hagai Shaham, Marie Bérard, and Barry Shiffman.
As a performer, Evan has worked as soloist with the Canadian Sinfonietta, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, North York Concert Orchestra, Anima Musicæ Chamber Orchestra, Oakville Chamber Orchestra, Huronia Symphony Orchestra, and the Pacific Region International Summer Music Association Orchestra.
He has competed in various international violin competitions including the International Grumiaux Competition, the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition, the Rudolf Barshai International String Competition, and the New York Classic International Violin Competition.
Evan is a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
Evan was one of the first students at the Musical Arts Academy, and now is very excited to be on the faculty of Musical Arts Academy offering lessons in violin and viola.
