LESSON POLICIES
LESSON POLICIES

1. Students may not attend any Musical Arts Academy (“MAA”) lessons until registration has been completed.
2. Students have the right to purchase only one (1) trial lesson with no obligation to register in full.
3. The registration fee is due at the time of registration and on an annual basis thereafter and is non-refundable. At Musical Arts Academy registration is on first come first serve basis for all students including the returning students.
4. If private lessons are missed due to a teacher’s absence or cancellation, the option for a substitute teacher is available for any instrument. Alternatively, the lesson can be rescheduled in mutual agreeance with the student.
5. In the case of cancellation of a private lesson by a student, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required to qualify for a make up lesson. Make-up lessons are not offered for missed lessons with less than 24-hour notice. Refunds are not offered for missed lessons. Please notify your teacher directly in the event of a cancellation.
6. In the case of late arrival by a student, the teacher is not obligated to extend the lesson beyond the scheduled time.
7. Group lessons do not qualify for refunds or make-up lessons, in the event a student misses a group lesson please contact the receptionist directly to be placed into another already scheduled group lesson to make-up the missing lesson.
8. Any lesson or make-up lesson must be held at MAA. They cannot be held at a student’s or teacher’s home, or any other location.
9. Students are entitled to a maximum of two (2) make-up lessons per term. Make-up lessons must be completed during the term and cannot be carried over to the next term.
10. If a student is required to quarantine due to Covid-19 exposure they must continue their lessons online as previously scheduled with their teachers for the duration of the quarantine.
11. To respect students and teachers time and effort, electronic devices must be turned off during the lesson time.
12. We provide students with a clean environment and quality instruments, there is no food or drink allowed inside of the studios. Please feel free to use our kitchen.
13. Students have a right to withdraw from their lessons upon giving the academy a two-week notice. Any remaining payment will be refunded in full. Annual registration fees are non-refundable.
14. MAA has the right to modify a schedule or to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolments. Refunds will be issued in these cases.
15. MAA has limited parking. Please do not park on RESERVED spots.
16. MAA prepares students for RCM examinations. Registration of the student for RCM examinations must be completed only with the teacher’s approval.
17. Students have to comply with the Musical Arts Academy’s tuition rates:
