Luca Bernardini , piano

Luca is a graduate from the Conservatorio Pergolesi in Fermo, Italy and the Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, where he studied advanced piano performance and pegadogy with Prof. Miroslaw Herbowsky and Prof. Tosik Warszawiak. During his musical upbringing Luca has worked closely with some of the world's leading pedagoges and concert pianists; krystian Zimerman, Andrzej Jasinsky, Lee Kum Sing, Katarzyna Popowa Zydron, Andrej Pikul, Jiri Hlinka, Enrico Belli, Lorenzo di Bella, Sofya Gulyak. Most recenlty before moving to Toronto with the acclaimed British concert pianist J. Plowright in Chichester, England .

In 2014 together with 7 more pianists he was invited to perform for Leif Ove Andsnes in a series of Masterclasses and workshops in Norway.

He has performed in many venues around Europe such as: The Chichester Cathedral, the Grieg House, the Grieg concert hall and the Reksteinsamlingene museum in Bergen, Norway.

The Penderecki concert hall in Luslawice Poland, the Basztowa hall in krakow, the concert hall at katowice Music Academy, the Teatro dell'Aquila, the Teatro Concordia and the Se;mane Musicali in Stresa, Italy.

Luca has been head accompanist and piano teacher at the Special music school J. Tischner in Domoslawice, Poland, as well as piano teacher for the West Sussex Academy of Music and from 2018 to 2020 piano and theory teacher at the Prebendal School in Chichester, one of the most prestigious and oldest institution for specialized music education in England.

Many of his students have gone to partecipate and take prices in several international and national piano competitions such as the Warsaw piano competition for juniors, the Windsor international piano competition, the Chichester festval of music and many others.

For his passion and contribu)on to advanced piano pedagogy and teaching methodologies in 2014 he was awarded with the (Nagroda Humanistycznich Prize) received from the Polish Minister of Education. In December 2021 he will record his first album will music by Chopin, Brahms, Debussy.
